One thing you could always count on for back in the day was to come through any given spot 35mph faster than everyone else.
All the other images from this spot people were just slightly off the ground but RG was full-tilt warp speed. Always a showman.
2001 Baja 1000

Before Trophy Trucks the class 8’s ruled the desert. Larry Ragland and his Factory Chevy Thunder truck was always battling for the top spot.

1991 Baja 500

The Chenowth Millennium were some of the coolest looking offroad cars made. Although some had issues with the rear suspension. This one fielded by .com_ was one of the few that had those problems figured it out and successfully campaigned. Arguably one of the best paint jobs ever with the “Wally world” paint scheme. Word is this car is being restored to its former glory for a run at NORRA.

Everyone loves the Black Diamond, but did you know there were two of them?
After the OG truck was sold to a copy was made for and they ran as a two truck team.
The #99 later became the #8 of where it remains to this day.

We’re going to throw it back a bit with one of the greatest to ever take the wheel in our sport to 2001 with first race - Fud 200 in Plaster City Ca.

“It was my first race so I really remember it well. (Chuck) Hovey started first in his type-4 beam car. We still have incar footage and intercom from the first 20 minutes. My dad rode with me (crazy). We hit the wash after that kicker, and my dad kept saying “Let’s go get him baby. Go get him Andy. Chase him down. Go! Go! Go get him. That’a boy!” I remember it like it was yesterday”

“We broke a spindle on the last lap and had to have our chase crew come out from main pit to change it, ended up 2nd overall to Matt Loiodice in his 10 car”

Andy went on from this first race to become a 5 time Baja 1000 winner.
