So I'm playing catch up, and I'm on a roll. Back on Labor Day I headed out for one of my favorite places "Rialto Beach." I'd been there before but had recently receive a posting on my blog that said "by the looks of your pics, You really hadn't explored Rialto Beach." And they were correct I hadn't seen anything.
I headed up on the Friday before Labor Day with no place to stay, and not really sure what I was doing. My trip included a stop at Lake Crescent to visit Marymere Falls, and then up to Rialto Beach. I ended up sleeping in my van, at a camp for bikers. I was worried about being cold, but the real challenge was sleeping on the floor of my van and sleeping through the thunderous sounds of rain drops falling on the roof of my van.
The pics from Rialto Beach include Pics from "Split Rock" and "Hole In The Wall" which is an amazing rock formation that the ocean has over time created a huge hole in the wall.
These are just a few pics from this trip, see if you can find the star fish in a couple of the shots. If you see a photo and it looks like water is all around the shot, that is not an illusion that's just me standing out on these rock formations, surrounded by the ocean trying to capture the shot I really want, I can't tell you how many times I tripped and almost fell, which would have destroyed my camera--but that's part of the fun.
