Wanna know what the best parts of being a photographer for +16 years are?
Moments like these! I get to see families grow, kids turn into young adults.. I get to witness the most important milestones in people’s lives and wow, what an honor!

I photographed Noelle for the first time in 2015 as a cute little 7 year old, and now here she is as a beautiful young woman graduating high school, ready to take on the world!

Trailblazer, that’s what she is!

When Starr reached out to me, she described herself as such. And after hearing her story, I couldn’t think of a more fitting word.

She was granted special permission to become the first student in National Lewis University history to pursue two advanced programs simultaneously.
And this month, she graduates with a Doctor of Education in Strategic Educational Leadership and a Specialist in Education with a Superintendent Endorsement, earning Highest Distinction.

And if that wasn’t impressive enough, she is now being recognized for her groundbreaking achievement and invited to serve as a cornerstone speaker.

As a Black woman creating a path where one didn’t previously exist, she is proving that determination, vision, and courage can change what’s possible; not just for yourself, but for everyone who comes after you.

What an honor it was to capture this incredible milestone!
