Hi everyone! I have some new followers! Yay!! With that and the shifts I am takeing lets talk a little about me. Why I do photography, What you can exspect from a session with me, ect.
My name is Misti.
Lets talk about the name of my Buisssness first because it is more than JUST a name. 1st it plays off that I was named after the Mist in the apalacian mountains, My dad new my name before he even met my mom and he is my biggest fan, it's a way to honor that.
2nd I want to do a lot of fantasy and creative work, having a bit of a nerdy play from LOTR/Hobbit just feels nice.
3rd I do primarily Outdoor sessions and feel the name nuances with that and the fact we are in a mountainouse area.
Why do I do photography? Put simply I genuinely love it. It's my passion. It's also my vice to go into nature and take pictures. I feel like Photography has a lot of people that come in thinking it's an easy way to make money, Not for me. I have ALWAYS Loved cameras and taking pictures. I was the girl who's parents hid the disposable cameras from bcause I would use all the Film! For my sweet 16 my parents bought me a point and shoot from a fingerhut magazine.
Wgen I was a Non Com In a foam fighting society I took pictures. Which was the window that led me to persue it as a profession. I ALWAYS told myself I was to poor to get into it.
Photography Is SO much more than just taking pictures. It's a buissness and that comes with office work and cost aside from just edit software and gear. Being a photographer means you need to be able to work with So many personalities, In so many different walks of life and cultures.
My goal Is not to just take your pictures. I want to provide you with an exsperience. It takes time to learn how to do this. I am not perfect. I have bad days and sometime personalities just clash, it's life. Despite that My goal is for you to leave feeling like you had fun, confident and excited to see your gallery.
I LOVE to gas up my clients and I show the pictures as we go, this ensures the angles are your best ones to you and you can see how amazing you are! Making minor adjustments a foot placement or even a slight facial direction can change a picture drastically.
I am OCD My attention to detail is a Thing. I might be annoying here I will redo shots if I see things out of place, hair, a weird ruffle in a skirt ect. Because I know if I see that when I got to pick the sneak peek it will in fact bother me. 😂
I am weird. Truely, I also struggle with my words at times and how to explain things so you will often find me showing you how to do the pose rather than explain it. It's grand fun LOL.
I love My clients and I love when I have clients that stick by my side.
Things you may not Like about me, I want a more personal relationship with my clients in the relatable type of way. I have become friends with some of my clients. I am not a fan of this is just buissness sessions. I want to conversate, I want to gas you up, I want you to see how excited I am at how amazing your pictures look! I want us to have FUN! I know I am not eveyones cup of tea and that is 100% okay! :D
