Swipe for a quick time travel 🗓 2022 vs 2011 w/ my dear friend 🤍

This 2011 shoot was one of my first sessions where I was trying to shoot what I wanted to see (i.e. show potential clients what we could create together)- I planned the wardrobe, chose funky locations, we got her makeup done, and got to work! Hers was the start of many fun sessions to come where my clients started to trust my direction more and lean into the process :)

My work looking the way it does (and the process I have now) did not happen overnight! I’m grateful for the learning opportunities and growth over these past 10+ years and the clients that have come along for the ride 🤍

Especially grateful for friends like who let me practice on them 😘

Me to myself: “Get out of your head!!”

I have a TON of ways I need to apply that to myself but I’m sharing in case you need a reminder to get out of your head too.

Do you know how many projects I’ve started (made good progress on) and not finished? 😭 It’s exhausting and pretty frustrating realizing that fear and anxiety is what’s keeping you stuck… and the further realization that there’s no quick fix. The “work” is done in small daily mindset shifts.

I’m determined to get out of my own way though... slowly but surely I’ll get there.

2021 vs 2019 w/ 🧡

The question has been asked before: “How often should I take new photos?” And truthfully there’s no one right answer, but you can find the answer that’s right for *you* by considering the following questions:

•Has my look changed since the last time I took photos?

•Are my photos still a good representation of my brand, style, or vibe?

•Am I offering a new service/product (or stepping into a new role) that I need photos for?

•Have I made good use of the photos from my last shoot?

Those are just a few questions you can consider before booking a new shoot… because although it may be exciting to get new photos, I want you to make sure you’re maximizing your investment 😉
