I had the great opportunity to photograph this awesome house. Well, it was originally the first public schoolhouse in Geneseo, IL. built-in 1856. This served as an elementary school until 1890. In 1914 prominent attorney Harry Brown hired Frank Loyd Wright protégé, Cecil E Bryan, to save the building and renovate the four-room schoolhouse into a beautiful six-bedroom home. The renovations took three years. This home was kept in the family as Mabel Brown Jr. first women to practice law in Geneseo Cherished and preserved this home for nearly 100 years.

The new owners have done a fantastic job of preserving history While still updating the home.

This delightful Bed & breakfast is a charm! They are available for formal and informal gatherings such as Sunday brunch, baby showers, meetings, small wedding receptions, parties and more!
