The perseid meteor shower. I took over 200 photos on both of the night where the amount of meteors was the highest but only was able to capture 2 but I love the photos. The shooting star is near the bottom right corner.

I haven’t posted anything in a long time, sometimes the effort of editing and adding a watermark and tying a description doesn’t feel worth the reward of a few likes, but still I have pictues I love and think are amazing and are worth sharing so I’m going to try and start posting again.

American Alligator

This gator just got some food and is lifting his head up so he can swallow his food(whole).

Black and white Argentinian tegu(shedding).

This lethargic looking lizard is an invasive species in Florida and has a very powerful bite. Also long as you don’t approach and provoke you shouldn’t be in any danger, as with most animals.

A new beginning for this monarch butterfly.

This is one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken, it just turned out so beautifully and I didn’t even see the butterfly’s chrysalis in the background when I took it. As this butterfly drys its wings after coming out of its chrysalis it makes me think of the beginning of a new part of life after a big change and that goes for people as well as the butterfly.

Another shot of the boardwalk at Corkscrew. Love going there, always see something new and getting to walk through different biomes in just a couple miles is fascinating.

American Alligators covered in duckweed.

Alligators have a special membrane called the nictitating membrane which is a transparent or translucent third eyelid that they use to protect their eye underwater as well as keep their eyes moist. (You can see it in picture 2)
