I value timely and clear communication, so you’ll typically hear back from me within 24 hours if not the same day!
The “perfect” family session may look a little different from one family to another, so I send a questionnaire with each of my bookings to find out what YOU want from your session! Do you love candids and want mostly playful interaction shots? Are you hoping to get a nice family portrait with everyone smiling at the camera? My questionnaire is your chance to let me know what you want out of our session so that I can make it happen!
Location location location! From fields and mountains to gardens and city vibes, my location list highlights some of my favorite spots in the area. I’m always up for coming to your home or land, or exploring a new location as well!
Along with the Location Guide, I also send a Family Welcome Guide to each of my clients. This guide answers some FAQs as well as has an outfit guide to help you choose the most flattering colors for your photoshoot. Outfit colors truly set the vibe of your final gallery, and I always recommend choosing neutral, soft tones for a timeless look!

During our session, you’ll hear me talk a lot about finding good lighting, and that’s because good lighting = good photos! Just trust me! 😎
My family sessions are a mix of posed and candid/prompted shots, which results in a diverse and playful gallery. Personally, my favorite pictures are sweet moments of interaction between family members 💕
With kids, I try to keep it fun and incorporate some prompts that they enjoy! Sometimes family sessions feel wild and chaotic, or the baby cries the whole time, but we always manage to get some sweet photos, so don’t sweat it! I always encourage parents to keep a smile on their face despite what the kids are doing, and we’ll get some cute photos 😂 Trus
