I’m sharing our meal train that my sweet neighbors Candice and Magen helped put together for our family.

Providing meals helps take some stress off Matt so when he gets home from work, he doesn’t also have to worry about cooking for all of us while taking care of me. I’m so incredibly grateful for the friends and family who have offered help in so many ways, and for the continued prayers, love, and support we’ve felt through all of this. It truly means more than I can say. 💕

UPDATE: 💚
Tomorrow I’ll be having my second biopsy, and we’re hopeful that the surgery will give us clearer answers: what type of chemo I’ll need, how aggressive treatment will be, and how often I’ll be receiving treatment. This time, instead of it being an abdominal biopsy, it is going to be done at my clavicle. We will be taking a lymph node from my neck that is cancerous. Since the original scans were from the time of the wreck in November, we have new scans (from three weeks ago) that show that the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes in my neck. We’re praying this second biopsy brings clarity and a plan quickly. I spend most days in extreme pain and resting in bed. I am ready to start chemo - this is just the last step to get there. 🙏🏻

To my amazing clients, friends, and photography family 🤍

I’ve gone back and forth on how to share this, but you deserve honesty from me.

After a completely unexpected car accident on the way home from my wedding dinner rehearsal, I was diagnosed with cancer. What started as something routine quickly turned into a life-changing discovery. I have been diagnosed with large B-cell lymphoma, an aggressive blood cancer that is currently in my abdomen, chest, on my heart, and lymph nodes in my neck.

Right now, I am preparing for my second biopsy and to begin chemotherapy in February, which will last at least six months. This was not something I ever imagined writing, and it has been overwhelming to process.

With that said, I want to reassure you of a few very important things:
✨ I am not leaving photography, and this is not the end.
✨ All currently booked and previously agreed-upon sessions will absolutely be honored and fulfilled.
However, for the time being, I do need to pause on booking new sessions so I can fully focus on my health, healing, and being present as a mom and a wife during this season.
✨ I do ask for some flexibility and understanding if I have to reschedule one of these previously booked sessions due to chemo or bad days. But your session will happen!
✨ I love so many of of you. I have so many clients that have become close friends. And I am so grateful for all of you.

I am so sorry to take this break. Photography is not just my job, it’s my heart, my passion, and my connection to so many of you. Please know this pause is temporary. I don’t want to lose any of you, and I hope with all my heart that you’ll be right here when I come back stronger than ever. I fully plan to beat cancer’s butt and get back behind the camera doing what I love most.
