I'm Caitlin Elizabeth Norwood, owner and lead photographer for Love Always, Memories Photography a destination wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Nashville, Tennessee.

I grew up an Army brat, and now I am an Army wife traveling the world with my husband and son. Because of our lifestyle I am strongly connected to photographs and the memories they hold. I love knowing every image I take

That first look feeling

Every single wedding is special to me & every wedding I take away something I’ll never forget. The one that sticks out more than any others + will stay with me forever was a bit of advice my bride received from a guest.

📖Story time:: One weekend I was extremely upset with my husband, which doesn’t happen often, but I was in tears allll morning and the entire hour drive to my wedding one Saturday in 2020. As soon as I parked I got myself together and told myself— as soon as I step outside of this car, the day is 100% about making my couple happy and have the best day ever! — and that’s what I did! It was a beautiful day! During the reception I was walking up to the bride to ask her something & I noticed a guest coming at her. So I paused and waited for them to talk. . . And boy, instant 😭 I had to walk away to collect myself.

He told the bride “Now I’m sure you’ll get tons of advice today, but mine is the one you’ll want to listen to. Whenever y’all get mad or upset with each other, because you will,

~just remember those first look feelings~

It was some of the best advice I’ve ever heard & I now put it on all my couples guest books/signs at the receptions.

Clay & Hannah’s wedding was extra special to me because I grew up with Clay! Well y’all, I forgot to write it in your book!

Clay & Hannah your first look was the sweetest! So if you are ever upset with the other one, which will happen, just remember that first look feeling 🥰

*And for those wondering about my hubby, he’s still in the dog house two years later 😆and I still remind him every now and then about cutting my sons hair (actually butchered it) without my knowledge.

Time away…

🤍Time away to clear your mind,
🤍Time away to dig deep BACK into your creative side!

Time away is also time back!

🤍Time with loved ones uninterrupted
🤍Time to actually sit with no thoughts or worries
🤍Time to just be

🎉Time away and time back is probably the best thing a small business owner can give themselves! 🎉

So many times thoughout the year you will see business owners, specifically photographers, talking about “busy season”. Well when you own your own business it.is.always.busy season!! Even if you may be caught up on editing, there’s still a million other things you need to be doing, learning, creating, feeling.

All of that can pile up and the best thing you can do for yourself is sit down with your calendar, scheduled out ALL the things, SCHEDULE TIME OFF! Time with no emails, no social media, no work! It’s crazy to think we need to schedule our own time off, but if you don’t, it won’t happen ever. … and mother’s schedule alone time for yourself during your time off! What’s something you haven’t one for yourself in a while—do it!

I was planning on taking two weeks off this month when my husband had his block leave, but we decided to sell out house to take advantage of this market… So the first week we took off on vacation and last week we finished house projects, listed our house for sale, and had it under contract within 48 hours. This just means I’ll be scheduling me another week vacation this Fall sometime! 💃🏼💃🏼

So tell me, what is something you do to refresh, relax, and clear your mind as a business owner?!

This last week was an incredible experience!! One that will not be deemed as once in a lifetime because it will and it is happening again, but at a different location!
(( September 2021 to be exact! ))

is just starting and the sky is the limit! Our community is already one amazing group of photographers and with each retreat we plan to grow it to be bigger and BETTER thus making the wedding and elopement world better for all!!

Today is a day to remember and honor.

To remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The ultimate sacrifice which gives us our daily freedoms.

Daily freedoms we take for granted.

Our country may not be a “perfect” one, but I am damn glad I am able to live here and live the life I choose to live. . .

Not many females around the world are able or given permission or have a voice to live the lives they want, to say the things the really think, to have an education, to own their own business, to travel without their husband/fathers permission, to voice their opinions, to take control their own bodies. I am able to do that and so much more if I want to because of the men and women who sacrificed their lives to have this country where we have our God given freedoms- life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

Wedding days like this just do something for my soul 💕💕

Then the next day getting this message just makes my heart swell!!

“You have received lots of rav reviews from my family. My sister and I have helped plan several weddings and you are by far one the nicest and most accommodating photographers we have worked with! And your pictures are absolutely gorgeous!”

I love that they loved the photos, but more importantly they loved the day and the atmosphere I was able to give them to enjoy the day!

The memories you are able to be present for are far more important than the pictures. The pictures are there to remind you of the memories💕💕

The best part of eloping in a city that’s not your home, but you love just as much... looking at it in a totally new way! Forever and always Asanka and Paul will look at New Orleans as THEIR place. . .

~A place where they spent the best week ever with their favorite people,
~A place where they got to make a lifetime of memories 💕

This weekend I got to do something new and so fun!

I got to help the AMAZINGLY TALENTED with a Churchill Downs wedding! No I was not the wedding photographer, but I did tag along to help Kassie with her floral designs and photograph them once we were finished.
The Downs staff was absolutely amazing and the venue, of course, was to die for! The seventh floor, reception floor, has a 360 view of the track and Louisville! We even got to watch a few races throughout the day!

It was definitely a one of a kind experience and I joked all weekend I got to make a 1/3 ✔️ off my bucket list! 😆 Now I just need to attend a Derby and book a wedding there myself to get the full ✔️ by Churchill Downs!
