My sister got engaged… and somehow we actually pulled this off. 💍🥹
What Garland thought was happening: she called out of work to model for a shoot for Audrey.
What was actually happening: Audrey, her now fiancé, my family, and I had somehow orchestrated an entire fake photoshoot just to get this girl dressed, hair and makeup done, and all the way out to Stonehaven without suspecting a THING. 😂
And when I say she had no clue, I mean NO clue.
We’re literally walking toward him and she looks at me and goes, “Geoffrey, this is awkward as hell. Why are we walking down there toward him?” 😭
MA’AM. THAT IS YOUR MAN.
Apparently she didn’t have her contacts in, so she genuinely could not tell who she was looking at. Meanwhile, I’m trying to keep it together knowing exactly what’s about to happen.
Somehow, against all odds, we pulled it off. She was completely surprised, she said yes, and I got to photograph my own sister getting engaged. 🥹
Getting to be part of planning this was already special, but being the one behind the camera capturing it made it even better.
