Hey, Hi, Hello, It's Me!
Y'all, I have been BUSY! Here are some random life updates that nobody will care about, ha!
I took a trip out to Alabama recently to visit my grandmother who has dementia and got to spoil her (first pedicure EVER, Top Gun in theaters, BBQ & Mexican soul food)...
We have been slaving over building and filling garden beds & I got my seeds in the dirt in the nick of time. Fresh salads have been SO nice!
I (almost) finished up some landscaping around my house. Two showers a day has become the norm lately! But I am building some awesome biceps from shoveling loads of rock by hand. Even if my dog digs up all my landscape fabric 4x a day and I have to re-do it all (grr).
Fun fact-- My husband and his brother are pyrotechnicians and put on the BEST firework show around. We host a private party every year, where family and friends gather from many different states to come party with us and celebrate Independence Day. That is coming up next weekend, so I will be MIA preparing for the party next week. I will get back into the business flow in July!
Ahhh! To be honest, I have really enjoyed taking a business break this month to get caught up with some much needed personal time.
Let's see... Oh! I tried mushroom coffee this AM for the first time. It smells like savory gravy and tastes just wrong... but if you add some sweet cream and milk to it, it's actually pretty nice with a soft nutty flavor. I didn't mind it at all.
While I am blabbing... Here are some business updates --
1. My annual Sunflower Mini Sessions will be coming up in August. They are usually in bloom the second or third weekend in August. If you would like to get on my priority booking list or want more details, please send me a message. Anyone who books from the priority booking list will save $30 off the mini!
2. My studio is still a work in progress. My husband and I are guilty of doing 13 projects all at once and finishing them to about 80% before getting bored and moving on to something different, ha!
We have new doors bought. We have new flooring bought. We need time to install. So that means about 1/2 of my studio is taken up for storage right now. I can still book a studio session to help beat this heat. But it is only the couch side that is available right now.
3. I might have developed a phobia of ticks after this crazy tick season, so I am not looking to jump into any wildflower fields right now unless I am wrapped in a bubble or it's almost winter.
4. Y'all, it is HOT! I am all for in-home family sessions/ newborn sessions right now. Let's stay in the air conditioner and photograph your family where they are most comfortable -- in your home! If this sounds like your jam, just reach out.
Ooook, if you read through this and made it this far... Let me know in the comments 1 fun random thing going on in YOUR life! :)
