You guys have been keeping me BUSY! I am so incredibly grateful for your love and support of my small business, THANK YOU! I have been shooting 3-4 sessions a week but have not had much downtime to get my editing done, because... LIFE!

From today forward, all proofing galleries will be expected 1.5-2 weeks out (instead of the usual 1 week timeline). No worries, I wont leave you hanging that long, I will still give a sneak peek of your session so you have something to look forward to.

Some contracts have been sent out and signed with the 1 week timeline, so this is just a heads up, it may be a little bit longer... just until I can get caught up on the editing part.

I appreciate you!! Thank you for your understanding. I promise the wait will be WORTH IT! :)

Some firsts with this session--

-First time taking graduate portraits (always wanted to)!
-First time on the MU campus (which is BEAUTIFUL, btw).
-I learned a little bit of history of the MU campus -- that the columns in the heart of campus were the only structure left after a fire, which are beautiful symbol and story.

This session was a group effort. Payton & her parents had so many wonderful ideas for poses and places to take portraits at on campus. It was a lot of fun tagging along with them celebrating their daughter and learning a little bit more about Payton along the way.

It is always an honor to be invited back into my clients lives over and over. I never take the lightly.

That is what you are hiring me for.

To confiscate wallets and phones in pockets before the session.
To remove hair ties from your wrist.
To move you two steps to the left for the perfect lighting.
To fix your hair mid-session.
To remove boogers from your kids nose -- not my first rodeo.
To edit out bra straps.
To align horizons and buildings-- that stuff bothers me!
To edit in a busted light bulb.

That is what you get when hiring a professional. Someone that can see the things you may not notice and pay attention to all the little details. When you hire me your moments are captured and edited with love.

Sometimes sessions aren't about milestones, they are about holding onto moments we know won't last forever.

This family reached out to me for an end-of-life session after getting the bad news that Tumble wouldn't live much longer. His heart was failing. It brought me back to losing my pup years ago (same diagnosis-- heart arrhythmia) and it broke me. The love we share for our furry friends last forever, and saying good-bye is one of the hardest things to do.

This sweet family spent the evening loving on their boy and soaking in every snuggle.
