Great spending the day with Brooke Shields while photographing Hearts of Heroes in Yaphank, New York.

There’s always a lot happening behind the scenes on a production like this, and getting to capture both the people and the moments in between is one of my favorite parts of the job.

A memorable shoot, a great crew, and plenty of stories to tell from this one.

Definitely not an average day behind the camera.

On location in Yaphank, NY, shooting for Hearts of Heroes, an ABC TV production, at the Fire Service Training Academy. This assignment meant gearing up and getting inside the training building while firefighters conducted a live fire exercise.

Fire coming through the windows, crews moving through the building, and me trying to get the shot while staying safely on the first floor. I decided the second floor could wait for another day.

A pretty incredible experience working alongside these firefighters and capturing what they do up close.
