The Light Chasers photography group did another city photo night walk on Friday evening last week in Beverly Hills. I originally wasn't planning on going until I saw a photo on IG from a photographer panning a night shot of a car (focused) with a blurry background. I have panned shots before, but during the daytime, chasing after racecars on a racetrack. I want to try it, so coming out gave me an opportunity to do some experimentation. I'm not expert, but I shared some of my "best" shots that I felt okay with.

Beverly Hills city photo walk with the Light Chasers (photo group) from Friday night. The group had been here several times for the Christmas lights. I had only been here with the group once, before Covid. When I was here a few years ago, I came to the conclusion that this area was boring for me to photograph which was why I had only been here once with the group. I thought that since I hadn't been here in awhile, I would see it differently. I don't remember much from the first time, but it's still boring here for me. I don't think I am coming back here no matter how many times the group is here for photos.

Annual Fireworks, US Independence Day in Long Beach, CA 2025

The city of La Puente, CA had its annual Independence Day celebrations on 03 July.

Last year, I heard on the radio that some local cities were celebrating one day early. They listed the cities, but I only remembered La Puente because it was closest to me.

A few years ago, I decided that I wanted to try real estate photography. I went to many real estate networking meetups and enjoyed meeting many new people in the industry who were real estate agents, investors, airbnb hosts, contractors, financial advisors and mortgage brokers to name a few. While I had made many new friends, it was difficult for me to convince anyone to hire me for headshot photos and house/airbnb photoshoots. A few did hire me, but as an introvert, I couldn't convince more people to turn it into a consistent business to keep me busy. Some people said that I was too expensive to do headshot photos and I didn't have enough experience to do house/airbnb photos. I had no experience with videos which might have something to do with the lack of interest from others. I will still do portraits and professional headshots for anyone who is requesting these images, but I decided to move on and turn this page into showcasing all of my works from different genres. If you are still here and you are reading this, thank you...although I did have to clean up my follow list as it seemed like a lot of spam bots and unusual characters on there to which all have been removed....at least, the ones who were visible.

Manhattan Beach annual Christmas holiday fireworks 2023

In case, some of you will not be on social media for a few days for the Christmas holiday, Merry Christmas! Also Happy Hannukah (although this probably has ended already?) and Happy New Year! If you don't celebrate any holiday, happy week, happy weekend and happy day to you.

Manhattan Beach had their annual holiday fireworks earlier this month (usually the second Sunday of December each year) at the pier. Next year, I will have to park my butt farther away from the beach and do a "distance check" because I was too close to the pier for my drone to take any decent video of the fireworks (see last video). There were other drones in the air around me and I didn't want to crash into them for flying mine too high.
