Booking your first maternity session and not sure what actually happens once you show up?

Here’s the real version: we find a spot with good light, you wear something comfortable that actually feels like you, and then we just walk and talk. No forced poses — just small adjustments, a little guidance here and there.

The rest is me watching for the real moments and catching them as they happen. That’s genuinely it — 45 minutes to an hour, and you’ll have all those moments documented.

This little park in Costa Mesa is one of my go-to spots for family sessions: open field, small enough for little ones, several different backdrops without ever moving the car. It’s especially green and lush like this every spring.

Let’s talk about the “newborn window” — because I don’t believe in the strict 7-14 day rule. 🤍

As a doula and a mama myself, I know how much pressure new parents already feel without adding a ticking clock for photos. So here’s my honest take: you don’t need to rush. My suggestion is anytime within the first couple of months — whenever feels right for you and your baby.

Sessions in the very first couple of weeks tend to capture that sleepy, curled-up, fresh-from-the-womb softness. A few weeks (or even a couple months) later, you’ll get more alert eyes, more personality, more of who this tiny human is becoming. Neither one is “more right” — they’re just different, and both are beautiful.

My job isn’t to chase one specific look. It’s to show up whenever you and baby are ready, and capture what’s real in that moment.

So if you’re waiting because you think you “missed the window” — you didn’t. DM me whenever you’re ready, and we’ll go from there.

The weather has been beautiful, everything is so green, and some spots are already full of gorgeous flowers… the perfect time for spring photos. This season I’m offering a few different options, including both weekends and weekdays.

These sessions are for pretty much everyone — families, couples, maternity, you and your bestie, you and your puppy… or just you! Maybe you want new photos for your socials, or maybe you simply want new photos. No special reason needed. ☺️

If you know me, you know I love traveling, road trips, and being in nature 🌿🛣️🚘🌁🏜️

This year, I’m combining that with photography, creating a meaningful experience for families along the way.

First trips on my 2026 calendar:
📍 San Francisco / Santa Cruz / Nevada City — April 4–11
📍 Sedona — Memorial Day Weekend
