To be honest, I have no idea what to post here anymore.

In one season of life, I was a photographer and shared work to market my biz. At one point in life I shared my personal moments, but now days my personal life mostly consists of hard work in all facets. Not exactly glamorous.

Growing a company is similar to raising kids, and the part that resonates most right now, is that I’ve got lost in the work. So I’m currently in a (very slow moving) season of figuring out who I am, independent of Spark, and what lights me up inside.

What I do know is this; I have excellent health, a home I’m grateful for, a company that’s steadily growing, a life partner who’s all I waited & prayed for, and a God who graciously carries me from one storm to the next.

I see calm seas ahead, and I count it a blessing to weather this current challenging season that stretches my mental toughness with each day that passes.

Gratitude for the good, joy for the blessings, hope for what’s ahead. 🤍

Kind, supportive, driven, hardworking…with a dash of spice. That’s how I’ll remember Megan.

A long time client turned friend, and a loyal supporter of my photography journey. I last captured her in my studio because she needed fresh headshots for newsletters & announcements about her many professional achievements. It truly means so much when my long time clients make efforts to visit the studio, and she was one I felt much gratitude for.

I prayed for her so many times throughout her battle against breast cancer. Now I continue to pray for her family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

Life. 💔

I dropped by today to drop a few things off. The studio was busy with photoshoots, not shot by me. We had guests renting our spaces and a team member to host them.

There was a time when I was the one doing all these things. Over time, I worked so hard build a team who could take over the vision I began.

Some days being a small business owner is a dream. Some days it breaks me in new ways.

The good days, the bad days, and all of the in between, I’m thankful, grateful, and proud to have put a small business into the world and created jobs for some very special creatives. 🤍

Last minute, I decided to do a birthday photoshoot. I’ve come to love capturing who I am at this moment in my life, each birthday.

Currently, I feel more low key and focused than ever. I’m behind the scenes doing the work and making the sacrifices that will give me freedom in the future.
