Fall rolls in and summer slips away, and every year that shift hits a little hard. The days get shorter, the air gets colder, and being outside feels a bit less inviting. But there’s always a coastal silver lining that surfers know well… the waves wake up. They get bigger, cleaner, peakier. Combo swells and offshore winds start linking up, and suddenly you’re daydreaming about barrels again.
This Saturday was one of those days. Heavy rain, everything feeling slow… until you check the cams and see perfect lines and guys sprinting across the sand chasing the wave of the day.
I’ve always struggled with the end of summer, but I’m learning that nature doesn’t take anything away without giving something back. The gifts just come in a different form. Pumped to see Huntington Beach light up like this again, and even more excited for what the rest of fall and winter are about to bring. 😎🤘
