I’m as excited as a kid at a candy store to start decorating for Christmas 🎄 I know, I know, let’s get through Thanksgiving first 🙄 I’m team Christmas tree on November 1st. But I live with a realist that reminds me of how long it actually takes me to put up Christmas decorations once they are out of storage. And don’t get me started on ornament placement. One year, I placed and removed the ornaments from the tree 5 times because it didn’t look perfect. So, decorating is easier said that done when you’re like me and aiming for perfection instead of completion 🤦🏻‍♀️ Nevertheless, I’m excited to be surrounded by all things Christmas, inside and outside of our home 🎅🏼

If I had a nickel for every time a mother apologized for her toddler's behavior during a family session, then I would have a whole lot of nickels 😜⠀

I get it, trust me. I'm a mom of a threenager and I find myself apologizing for his behavior more than I would have ever imagined. It's a tough season. Yet, living through this season has really prepared me for my toughest of clients, toddlers. So thank you Levi for raising the benchmark because I have yet to meet anyone who has surpassed it 😅

Sometimes leaf throwing at sessions gets a little aggressive 🍂 Thank goodness for patient parents because this is a repetitive process. It takes at least more than 2 tries to get it just right 😄

I did 2 things to edit these images. Talk about streamlining my editing process. Can you guess what 2 things I did? 💭

I was in 8th grade. The window in my classroom faced the Twin Towers. Someone in our class alerted everyone that there was a fire at the top of the North Tower. Right as we all ran to the window to look, the second plane hit the second tower. Of course, our teachers tried their hardest to keep us calm and closed all of the windows. A few hours later, as we sat in computer class, where every window in the class faced both towers, we witnessed the towers collapse and felt the ground shake. 9/11 is a day that I will never forget. I guess I have better start getting used to wearing shorts long after labor day because I’m not in Erie anymore. But for real though, the temperatures are going to be back in the 90s this week! Almost 10 years of living on lake Erie didn’t prepare me for this.
