I've lived in this town for almost a decade. It's become home.

The colorful trees on the left are from Prospect Park, my favorite place in Hudson. It offers beautiful views of the city and the St. Croix River. It's also the spot where I proposed to my wife and where we enjoy walking to together with our son on nice nights.

On the right is downtown Hudson, which has so many great places. From my favorite restaurants like San Pedro Cafe and Urban Olive and Vine , to Hop & Barrel Brewing, not one but two great bakeries (St. Croix Baking Company and Sweet Beet Bakery-Hudson ) and of course Knoke's Chocolates and Nuts. And now a distillery (Lucky Guys Distillery) is on its way, too. Plus, it's hard to beat a stroll along the river. I feel lucky to be walking distance from all of this.

Anyway, this is just a Hudson appreciation post, with a picture from a drone flight this past weekend. Happy to call this town home.

What does a city look like during a pandemic? I grabbed my camera and headed downtown Hudson, Wisconsin to find out. Most of the downtown businesses had signs indicating their temporary closure. I love downtown Hudson and really hope that all these businesses can weather the storm. If they can, I know this community will do its part to support them when they re-open.
