The Old Ardena School, built in 1835, had an open house this past weekend. It was interesting to see what a one room school was like. I believe there will be a few more open houses in August.

I attended the Balloon Festival again this year. Since I attend this in the past, and have nice pictures of hot air balloons drifting the in the air, I decided I want to do something different. I wanted to create images using only portions of the balloons. Or, the hot air balloon floating needed to be only a part of a much larger image. This kept me focused on small scenes and combinations of geometric shapes and patterns that would create a pleasing image.
