This Moses basket has held so many sweet little clients over the years, but I’m most excited for the next little one who will be in it… my own. 🤍

Our sweet baby girl is almost here, and I’m currently on maternity leave while we welcome this new little love into our family.

Don’t get me wrong... mini sessions have their place. But not every season of life fits into a mini session, and this wise mom knew that.

With a brand new baby and another little in tow, she came to her client call already knowing a full session would give her family the space they needed for real life to happen in between the photos. I reassured her we’d follow the lead of her boys.

And that's exactly what we did. When baby needed a feeding break, we shifted focus to Dad and big brother. When big brother wanted to explore, we captured his biggest smiles running through the grasses.

The result? A relaxed pace, genuine moments, and images that feel just as beautiful as the day did. (Even if we did cross paths with a few unsettling fall bugs!)

What if I told you we aren't limited to only capturing your newborn photos in the nursery?

When you picture your family's newborn session, I'm sure the nursery is the first room that comes to mind. But sometimes the kitchen calls! Like here, the light was too good to ignore... soft and warm in all the right places. Just a little reminder that the best light in your home doesn't always come from the nursery.

Newborn photos aren’t only about how tiny they are right now, but about the feeling of these early days. The quiet mornings, the slow pace, the ordinary spaces that become part of your story. Those are the moments you’ll want to hold onto when life starts moving fast again.

It’s been a slower season over here personally, but for all the best reasons, I promise!

Life’s been quietly shifting in the sweetest ways, reminding me that slowing down isn’t the same as stopping. This golden evening with a mama and her little one felt like a reflection of it all. Soft light, love, and the kind of peace that only comes when you let life unfold gently.

It’s graduation day for this bright and talented senior! Next stop: culinary school! 🎓🎉

The azalea garden was the perfect setting for mixing a traditional family session with some senior portraits, and I loved getting to capture both sides of the story. Graduation is a milestone for the whole family and it takes the love, support, and sacrifices of everyone to reach this moment. That’s why it only makes sense to have the whole family in the photo session!

Congrats to everyone out there celebrating a graduate this season. Whether your “baby” is turning one, graduating kindergarten, or heading off to college, I’m here to help you hold onto these moments with photos that last.
