Waiting on my human clients, and this little bee buzzed by begging to model.

This little bee was hard at work, the light was absolutely perfect, and for a few quiet minutes the world seemed to slow down.

Friday night lights will always be about football.

But years from now, this is what you’ll remember:
The way your cleats felt sinking into the grass. The smell of the field after sunset. The jersey that somehow fit a little differently this year because you finally grew into the player you’ve been working to become.

Treyson didn’t show up to document a sport.
He showed up to tell the story of this season of life.

Because being an athlete is only part of who you are. And someday, these photographs become proof that you were here. That you gave everything you had. That you chased it hard.

That’s worth remembering. 💛

Last night, I was reminded exactly why I do this.

I photographed Jacob’s senior session on his family’s farm.

We saw the cattle.
The pigs.
The dogs.
The dirt.
The wide-open spaces.

The places he’s probably known his whole life without ever realizing how much they would one day mean to him.

And somewhere in the middle of it, it hit me:
THIS is the stuff I never want us to forget.

Not the perfectly manicured version of life.
The real version.

The farm you grew up on.
The animals you raised.
The dog that followed you everywhere.
The dirt on your boots.

The places your family has worked, laughed, cried, celebrated, and built a life.

There was something about that session that felt so incredibly genuine that it brought me straight back to my own roots.

It reminded me why I love this rural life.

Why I love living in a place where everybody knows everybody.

Why I love photographing people in the places that actually mean something to them.

And honestly?
It reminded me why I chose the name Push Play Photography.

Because someday, these kids will be grown. And I want them to be able to look back at their senior portraits and remember who they were before they left home and became who they were meant to be.

That’s what I want to give families.
Not just pretty pictures.
A way back.

And if you’re a farm or ranch family, I have a feeling you know exactly what I mean. 💛

Grandma, you probably don’t need another picture of each grandkid on their own. You need all of them together.

The grown kids.
The grandkids.
The spouses.
The babies who won’t stay babies.
The people who are scattered across different towns and busy lives.

Because getting everyone in the same place gets harder.

And someday, these big, beautiful family photographs won’t just be pictures hanging on your wall.

They’ll be proof of this season.

Proof that everyone was here.
Together.
Laughing.
Growing.
Still yours to gather around one table.

The Reuer family understood the assignment. 💛

Nobody had "bird funeral" on their senior session bingo card....but here we are. 😂

I have photographed hundreds of senior sessions.
I have never had this happen.

The golfer in front of us absolutely smoked his drive.....and seconds later this bird came tumbling out of the tree.

Michael, naturally, picked it up to document the momentous occasion.

Tell me this isn't the most random senior session blooper you've ever seen. 😂
LOVE that I get to hang with the coolest and most funny seniors in the world!

Some seniors leave a bigger mark on my heart than they probably realize. 💛 Addison is one of those girls.

She’s our kids’ #1 most requested babysitter, a girl who has become so much more than “the babysitter” to our family. She has a heart for helping people, a quiet confidence that doesn’t need to announce itself, and a wisdom that seems far beyond her years.

She’s the kind of person who makes you feel cared for simply by being around her.

So yes, we’re going to be pretty darn sad to watch our girl graduate.
But more than that, we’re excited.

Because we know Addison is going to take that steady heart, that quiet strength, and that genuine care for others with her wherever she goes—and she’s going to make her mark on this world.

And getting to photograph this chapter for a girl who means so much to my family? That’s the kind of senior session that reminds me why I love what I do so much.

These photos aren't just proof of what she looked like as a senior.

They're a little piece of who she is right now, before she steps into everything that comes next. We can't wait to watch you soar, girl!
