I think this one would classify as the diamond ring! The moment the moon starts to pass and the sun is revealed, shimmering in a little focused spot like the diamond of a wedding ring. Within the 3 or 4 minutes of totality, this moment lasts for only a few seconds.

What a day….. What an experience.

and I drove out to Marble Falls, TX to sit in the path of totality. We’ve been waiting for this moment for months. God heard our prayers and parted those clouds for about 15 seconds.

In preparation for the eclipse I rented the Sony a7rIV and the 200-600mm lens. Caught this guy in the backyard. The a7rIV has a 61mp sensor, granting a WILD amount of space to crop without losing any real resolution.
