If you’re still here… hi!
I’m gearing up for my fall family sessions and it has me looking at some of my personal experimental photography I’ve been focusing on this year. Thought I would share these. I almost forgot about them. They look like paintings to me. I adore them so much.

Yeah, I’m still here. Sort of. I’ve been off Insta and it’s been nice.
You’ll hear a lot of photographers talk about how they lose inspiration in the winter months. It makes sense. Photography is all about light and there is so much less of it in winter. I tend to lean the other way- I’m feeling so inspired with all the fun lights out and I’m just really leaning into the darkness… in many ways actually.
You can find me with my Holga and a roll of Kodak Gold (yes these are shot with Gold) on any given night.

Sometimes I think we forget what a miracle it is that we even exist… and then we walk around and live our lives as if things are owed to us. “How could this happen to me” we say. “Why dont I have (insert whatever).” But really, it is quite the opposite … just the fact that we are here, experiencing and loving and hurting and playing and feeling all the things IS THE GIFT. We are lucky for any of it. We should live in this way, all of us. Just grateful to have the experience of life.
