Yesterday, Nicole Schmied of Smart Cookie Media brought her framework for generating more sales without relying on traditional networking into the studio, and the room was engaged from the first slide to the last question.
 
The room was full of photographers, realtors, salon owners, and marketers who came ready to think differently about how they grow their businesses.
 
The topic? More sales without networking. The framework behind it, the mindset shifts, and the practical steps that actually move the needle for business owners who are tired of working a room.
 
We had a full house, good questions, and the kind of energy that makes you want to keep going when you leave.

To Miranda’s family,

Last year, you trusted us to photograph Miranda’s high school graduation portraits, a milestone that marked the start of everything ahead of her. We are heartbroken to learn of her passing at just 19 years old.

There are simply no words for a loss like this. We want her family to know that Miranda’s session, her smile, and the joy she brought into our studio will stay with us forever. We are so grateful we got to spend that special day with her and her mom Tracy.

For a long time I thought the problem was me.

Not working hard enough. Not networking enough. Not meeting enough people.

So I kept showing up. Kept delivering great images. And kept wondering why it wasn’t translating.

What I finally figured out: the offer was never the problem. The SYSTEM was.

Not enough of the right people knew I existed. And the ones who found me weren’t being followed up with in a way that made them feel confident enough to say yes.

Once I fixed the system, things started to move. Three years later, I quadrupled my revenue and am now running a half a million a year photography studio. No networking. No full-time team. No dancing on Tik Tok. No becoming someone I wasn’t.

On May 21st, Nicole Schmied — the woman who helped me see what was missing — is flying in from Chicago. We’re pulling back the curtain inside the studio where we built it.

It’s called “More Sales Without Networking”.
