I’ve been experimenting with Nikon’s custom Black & White shooting mode, altering the settings to create my own take on an infrared film look.

Rather than simply converting a color image to black and white, I wanted to see how far I could push the camera’s in-camera processing to create a look with the contrast, tonal separation, and unusual rendering I associate with infrared film.

These are some of the results from that experiment.

I’ll be back in the studio on Wednesday and looking forward to getting back capturing headshots.

Great start to the Astros pre-game last night. I had the chance to attend the meet-and-greet and meet relief pitcher Ben Sousa before the game.

From lighting decisions to pacing and direction, every detail was designed to reflect experience, credibility, and leadership.

Executive portraits work best when they feel considered, not rushed.

Ran my first official race with my wife Toni at the Aramco Houston Half Marathon and set a new personal best along the way. Clocked in at 3:11:46. Grateful for the experience, the miles, and the chance to do it together.

Ran a 5K today with my wife at Discovery Green Park as part of our prep for tomorrow’s half-marathon.
A good shakeout run, steady pace, and a great way to get ready for race day.
