Anyone else starting to get their bearings in the new year, now that (most) kids are back in school, Christmas decor is packed away (maybe?), and routines are returning to normal? It usually takes me until mid-January to feel settled in the new year and ready to tackle that list of projects that my aspirational self made in my during the week between Christmas and New Year's. 😉

Channeling a little Emily Henderson here - which is fitting since this dynamic mother/daughter duo are the faces behind Home Girls, offering remodeling and renovation services in the greater Houston area. Their branding session was SO fun with shots both at their office and at a client's finished kitchen reno. Can't wait to use them one day when we're ready for a remodel!

After photographing Dr. Kate Hagan's children and family for 6-plus years, I finally got her alone in front of my camera for a professional headshot. Dr. Hagan is an anesthesiologist at M.D. Anderson in the Houston Medical Center and needed a headshot refresh that was something a little different from what she receives from the staff photographer.

This project was a SMASH hit when I did it in 2016. The idea: to showcase tweens and teens for the awesome stuff they're doing (and to counter the narrative that all tweens and teens are lazy/entitled/brats/insert-today's-insult-here).
