And yet another tragedy in my life. Last Monday, we lost an amazing person. My sister, my best friend, is gone. She was part of my life every single day, and now there is just a huge hole. I feel like "devastated" doesn't begin to cover how I, my family, and those who loved and appreciated her are feeling.

May was Mental Health Awareness month, and though it is now June, I ask that you continue to embrace Mental Health Awareness all year round. One charity that we have selected to honor my sister is NAMI, and if you would like to help honor her memory, too, it would be a beautiful way to help others. In the near future, I will continue to do my best to carry on with business. I am still catching up from my mother's passing in March and her celebration of life that followed. I thank you all for your continued support, kindness, and understanding as I navigate through healing.

National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day!
So, I bring you my newest foster, Remy!
Back in September, I helped save Remy from being euthanized at the shelter, just minutes to spare. With backing from Big Love Rescue I temporarily brought him into my home until a permanent foster could be found. It took only a few days, and an amazing woman stepped up! Well, fast forward to last week, and Remy (still not adopted) needed a new foster home as his foster mom was moving out of Houston. So, I stepped up and took him in!

I don't know why this boy hasn't been adopted!!! He is clearly handsome, and he has the BEST personality!! I can't say one bad thing about him. He LOVES people and LOVES food. He is crate trained, house trained, and good with dogs and all people! He wants nothing more than to cuddle up on you every chance he can get. He is playful, curious, and eager to please. He's also a great size, at around 40-45 lbs, he's like a pocket boxer (mix).
