Cold & Flu Tea Recipe:

Chamomile: for muscle aches; bronchitis, whooping cough, congestion; Allergies (*if you have allergies to the asteraceae family do not take)

Oregano: Boosts immune system; anti-viral; prevents illness; speeds recovery; for coughs and bronchial infections

Peppermint: for headaches & migraines; lack of appetite

Rosemary: for Neuroprotection; headaches; inflammation; antibacterial (staph); anti-fungal

Manuka Honey: antimicrobial; anti-inflammatory; cough suppressant; Allergies (*Lowers BP)

Most ppl have these ingredients at home, but if you have it fresh, even better.

They always say people will come and go. What I wish they would say is this… 🔻watch clip🔻

Children are so quick to jump from ship to ship (friend to friend) at the expense of:
- not becoming a target of bullying
- acquiring popularity
- miscommunication
- a quarrel
- etc

What no one teaches, or should I say, preaches is that the strongest of friendships are the ones that have had their miscommunications, and/or misunderstandings, and/or quarrels - AAAND have worked through them.

Don’t be afraid to be who you are. And don’t ever make your friends feel like they can’t be who they are. Shine light and encourage others to shine theirs.

WARNING: LONG READ, BUT A MUST READ FOR ANY PARENT WITH A DAUGHTER!

Just got done watching these vids on TikTok regarding victimized women and night life/roofies.

As a parent of a female, this is so scary. Here is what I hope to put together one day…

A SEMINAR FOR YOUNG WOMEN: AS YOUNG AS TEENAGERS.

The purpose will be for AWARENESS and PREPAREDNESS for when these young women become young adults and venture out into the “real” world.

Just off the top of my head, the seminar would include what to look out for when out on the town, how to prevent becoming a victim, self defense, and to provide small goodie/gift bags for those attending that include beneficial items like the color changing nail polish to indicate if your drink has been roofied, pepper spray, etc.

“Having a little girl of my own makes the future seem quite scary for me as a parent, and knowing from my own experience does not make it any easier. I think that by knowing that your child is aware and prepared would help any parent obtain at least some percentage of “peace of mind”. I still remember my own dad schooling me on abandoning my drinks, never going back for the same one, plugging my beer bottle with my thumb, etc. It really opened my eyes and sunk in so fast that as soon as I became of age to go out and drink, my first habit was to plug my drink with my thumb.

Thanks dad! I love you. The knowledge you provided me all those years ago has saved me more times than I can count.”

Poor poor Ziggie… Let’s help Ziggie find her forever home! Please share, pledge, adopt, foster.

UPDATE 7/20: It disgusts me to say that in less than 24 hours Ziggie has been returned. She was returned because the adopter’s boyfriend said she was too big & he didn’t like her.

UPDATE 7/19: Ziggy has been adopted!! If you adopted her and follow our page, please reach out to us. Ty!!

Ziggie is a little sad and we can't blame her. She has been surrendered to the shelter three times over the past few years. She was originally discarded after having puppies. Another time she was surrendered because her owner was having a baby. This last time was due to her owner no longer being able to care for her. As you can see, she has been failed numerous times. We have to find Ziggie her furever home!

Volunteers absolutely love Ziggie. She is as sweet as they come. She is 4 years old and heartworm negative. This brindle beauty would do best as on only pet. She just wants to be your one and only! Please message us if you think Ziggie is the one for you! SHARE. PLEDGE. ADOPT. FOSTER.
