This intersection, for those who travel through it have probably noticed an exceptional increase in traffic overflow. I took this drone video to highlight a couple of issues that this intersection is causing . For one, this intersection used to have a rush hour cycle, like many of the intersections in Houston have, to where the cycles for each signals stay green longer to try and accommodate the traffic more efficiently for that time of day. The light, now, is currently only green for 12 seconds at a time and is not handling the traffic efficiently as indicated in the video. In addition to the incorrectly timed lights, the exit and entrance ramp for Wilcrest is closed, which forces many off to the Beltway Frontage, as the next exit is Kirkwood. The reason for my documentation of this is because dozens of people are cutting through parking lots nearby and it poses a safety issue for everyone who is at this intersection. With citycentre on the other side, this intersection does not need anymore problems. The traffic conditions shown in this video are not normal, and have gone out of hand. Let me know what you think.
