A small recap of a grand week, catching up with old friends and meeting lots of new ones. From all the little impromptu conversations checking into our host property to the fabulous parties and the heartfelt breakout sessions, I was grateful as always to be a part of it all. I started attending these luxury event summits only in the last few years, and it has already dramatically impacted my work: not only in the care I seek to invest for my clients, but in the appreciation I have for all of the teams I have the privilege to collaborate with. This week was truly an incredible experience, put together by with creative direction, design, and florals by the one and only , branding, art direction,and paper goods by , with all this photography production by the gracious and video production by ✨ A slew of talent goes into making these multi-day events possible, and I always walk away brimming with both inspiration and appreciation for their art and efforts. Finally defrosted and ready for Spring season, with a few updates for y’all :)

• Our travel schedule has been a bit wild, with Guatemala, Iceland, and the UK in the rear view and Sicily and Paris on the horizon, but for now I’m grateful to be home in the ole US of A.

• We recently brought on a new Operations Assistant who is an absolute gem of a human being, and we are in the middle of updating a refreshed list of vendor partnerships and recommendations for clients ❤️

• I’ve been falling back in love with film photography again, and will be both documenting and sharing pieces of that more in the coming months 📸

So much energy for this upcoming season, and I’m thankful as always for all of you - don’t be strangers 🤗

A wedding day story unfolds through moments between people, but the aesthetic of the space and experience of being there set the stage for how those moments will look and feel. This dinner setting for Elizabeth and Stefanos was a complete dream - grand in that it was surrounded by art and antiquities, but cozy in its design toward having great conversations within each table. All the credit to the talented team that helped bring this to life in the beautiful Museum of Fine Arts Houston, with planning by & , floral and rentals by , culinary planning by , and paper goods by .

As wedding season calms and Thanksgiving approaches, I’m left feeling so much gratitude for family, friends, and the experiences I’m invited to document in other’s lives. To celebrate that, I wanted to start sharing quick glimpses into some of the style, stories, and beauty my team and I have photographed in the past year or so…starting with this intimate elopement dinner with Ramie and Kyle. So excited for the next few months - there’s an energy to the summer (not just the Texas heat, but boy golly that too) and I feel it already 🔥 The grand adventure that this past fall and spring became is slowly returning to normalcy, and I have so, so much to share from it all. I will be putting the final bows on some of the most beautiful and heartfelt stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of documenting, and going overseas again to document a few more. 𝐖𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬.  Sometimes that means hunkering down during storms (we’re all too familiar with that this week in Texas)! Sometimes it’s in our relationships - supporting each other through struggles and loss, when there is nothing glamorous or exciting offering escape.   Over the last 14 years of learning and sharing the stories of couples, that has always rung true as a sign of long-lasting bonds.  Relationships, romance, and even your wedding journey can be an amazing adventure of emotional highs.   But the true tale of love isn’t always discovered at the peaks...  It shines in the storms, in the hand-held trudge up the hills, in the embrace that says “𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡, 𝙄’𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚.”  𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠.

I’ve always loved these images, as they’re such a great visual depiction of the above: weathering the heaviness of storms, by holding onto the light of what matters most)

Paige and Cameron’s zazzy wedding was so full of laughs and jokes that this moment was simply one of many, editorial vibes and all. Classy days can be fun days too 😎 Don’t let the pressure of propriety or decorum dictate how you enjoy your person (and your people) on your wedding day. This day means more than that, and it’s worth enjoying in your own way. Beyond thankful to have documented these folks from engagements to bridals to wedding day - they are the coolest humans with the coolest dachshund (ayo ) and this was one for the books. Everyone experiences a wedding day differently. Couples often describe it as a whirlwind, with so many moments flying by that it’s hard to slow down and actually absorb it all.   What most forget is that there are countless memories being built through it all - between family members, in your bridal party, even in yourself without realizing it.   This image of Rusol and TJ’s stunner of a day at is a perfect example. She was sharing her [sweet but hilarious] vows with TJ as he held it together, her sister was tearing up watching it unfold, and laughs lifted from the bridal party.   Even the wholesome faux pas of the cell phone video in the crowd is important here, as it’s someone that was proud enough to be there to want to capture it.  Remember that this is not simply one, big, intimidating crescendo for you. Your wedding journey is an array of meaningful experiences, whether it’s between just two people or shared by two hundred. Above all, make sure you can remember them ❤️

𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. By this moment on their wedding day, Xuan and Colton had already seen each other, read vows, shared laughter with friends, and kisses with each other a few dozen times.

But when their first dance song came on, she ran to him and fell into his arms as if she hadn’t felt him in months.

𝐼𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑏𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑒 𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚, 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑚𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡, 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑒𝑙𝑠𝑒 𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑.

In the wedding world it can be hard for couples to shake the feeling that they’re expected to perfectly perform and that’s such a shame.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. It isn’t always perfect, it’s often raw and real and memorable in the messiest of ways.

Barely touching portrait perfection straight out of Martha Stewart are already normalized (and there’s nothing wrong with that).

But in my rebellion, I’ll always seek to celebrate these unexpected moments. They’re the seasoning that helps our memories stick, and meaningful art all on their own.

𝙄’𝙢 𝙨𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 - for the sweetest of clients (that I now proudly call friends), the kind words from all of you who have followed my work, and for my ultra talented friends across the wedding industry. Being able to invest into a couples’ history and give them something of meaning is such a privilege, and I’m honored to put the work in every single day.

After documenting the lives and loves of over 300 couples in the last 12+ years, I’ve realized that often I just want to give back to the community that has been so impactful to me.
