Nature’s artistry at its finest. Just look at those colors and patterns. The boa lives in humid environments, which is why it's covered in water droplets to keep it hydrated. They spend most of their lives in trees (surprise!) and are camouflage experts!

I caught a glimpse of Lisa, the 13 year old Amur Leopard at Houston Zoo. I was shocked to read that they are one of the rarest big cats on the planet.

With fewer than 100 Amur leopards left in the wild, every sighting is a powerful reminder of how urgently we need to protect this critically endangered species from extinction.

Even with one wing, their spirits are unbroken. Every day is a new chance to rise.

The Houston Zoo is home to two bald eagles with wing injuries that prevent them from flying:

Mae: Mae was found in Huxley, Texas, after suffering a severe wing fracture during the February 2021 winter storm. Despite treatment, her injury left her unable to fly, making her unreleasable to the wild. She was named after Mae Jemison, the first Black woman in space, and now lives in the Texas Wetlands exhibit at the .

Sally Ride: Sally was found with an injured wing in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Complications from her injury also made her unable to fly. She was named after astronaut Sally Ride and joined the Houston Zoo from the Tulsa Zoo. Sally and Mae now share the Texas Wetlands bald eagle exhibit.

Green Anole (Lizard)

I enjoy experimenting with different post-processing techniques to enhance my images. For this shot, I chose a darker tone to emphasize the light illuminating the lizard and filtering through the leaves. I liked the result so much that I’m now using it as my desktop background.

Hi there. I'm back! 👋 Can't believe it's been 3.5 years since I last posted.

Have you ever lost interest in something you actually love but quit because you don't see progress, get frustrated, and just aren't persistent enough? Well, that's exactly what happened to me.

All these years I didn't realize I was moving away from something that gives me balance in my life. I won't make that same mistake again. Has anyone had the same experience? Write in the comments below or DM me.

Time to fill this feed with some pictures again. Hope you'll enjoy.

Photo Description:
I took these pictures after I got home from an 11 hour work day. Just before I got home, this beautiful sunset started to appear. I arrived, grabbed my camera and tripod, and headed to the pond just in time before the sun set completely.
