Two days. One goal.

To help create the kind of work she’s always envisioned, using her own studio, her own equipment, and her own space.

Day one was all about building the foundation:
Editing workflow, Business systems, Pricing, client experience, and the processes that create freedom

Day two, we took everything into her studio.
From my Everyday Moneymaker lighting techniques to more advanced creative lighting, we recreated each setup using the equipment she already owns, proving that you don’t need my studio to create my style, you need to understand the principles behind it.

That’s what Master your space is all about.

Not creating photographers who shoot like me…
Creating photographers who confidently master their own space.

Who’s ready to be next? 🤍

One light, endless possibilities.

One of the biggest misconceptions in photography is that you need more equipment to create better work.

The truth? some of my favorite images have been created with a single light source,
when you understand how light behaves, one light can create drama, depth, dimension, mood, and emotion.

These images were all created using the same philosophy that inspired my Power of one guide.

Because before you learn two, three or five lights… Master one.

A Monday reminder:

You don’t need to wait for the perfect moment to celebrate yourself.

Not after the baby arrives, or you lose the weight, or after life slows down.

You are worthy of being seen, celebrated, and remembered exactly as you are today. 🤍

Many years ago, my husband and I accepted a mission.

God entrusted us with a little boy and given the responsibility of preparing him for life.

Our mission was to teach him character.
To teach him faith, to teach him responsibility, to teach him how to embrace the world with confidence, kindness, and integrity.

We have been his instructors, mentors, guides, and biggest supporters.

This session was inspired by Men in Black, but the story behind it is much deeper.
Because in just a few weeks, our only son will become a husband and begin a new chapter of his own.

The academy years are over, the training is complete.

And as parents, we’re officially passing the badge.

Watching him become the man he is today has been one of the greatest honors of our lives.

Mission accomplished. 🤍

15 years ago, I would’ve probably moved that plant.
😅
Today, I used its shadow on purpose. Funny how photography changes.

When I first started, I spent so much time trying to eliminate shadows. Now, I often look for them because they can add depth, dimension, and interest to an image.

That’s the beauty of being an artist.

You learn the rules, you practice the rules, and eventually you learn when to break them.

One thing hasn’t changed though...I’m still chasing light.

Do you notice the shadows in these images, or do they simply become part of the story?

I’m not going to lie...

I cried while making this video.
As I added old family photographs and memories from years gone by, I was reminded of something I’ve always believed:

You don’t truly understand the value of a photograph until it’s all you have left.
If my voice cracks in a few places, it’s because this one hit close to home.
And maybe that’s exactly how it was supposed to be.

Take the photos.
Keep the memories.
One day, they’ll mean more than you can imagine.

If this video touches your heart, I hope you’ll share it with someone you love. 🤍
