In 2 weeks, Victoria Garcia Studios will be closing its cloud storage service in favor of more longterm storage solutions, which means you will no longer have instant, online access to your photos through our studio.

If you still have galleries you haven’t fully downloaded or you just want to make extra sure you have all your files, please use the next two weeks to download your photos.

Happy birthday to my drop dead gorgeous friend, Alicia Elatassi, on her 50th turn around the sun.

It has been such a great pleasure getting to know you and work with you over the years. You have taught me so much, not only about fashion and how to bring color into my life and how to be bold and courageous when I walk out the door, but also about what it means to be a true friend and I am so grateful for you. You’ve changed my life.

Thank you for always believing in me, for always saying my name in every room that you walk into, for always making space for me at your table, and for being the amazing hype woman that you are. I have never felt so appreciated and lifted up as I do when I’m in your presence.

I hope that your day, your week, and the rest of your life is as beautiful as you are. I wish you 50 more years of happiness, joy and love because you deserve it.

Saying goodbye to a Houston landmark as Graffiti Park gets demolished to make way for downtown expansion.

Before it was Graffiti Park it was home to a rock club, whose name I can’t remember, where I saw Devin Townsend, Saosin, and Alexisonfire.

I’m sad to see the popular photoshoot spot and cultural center go. So much talent and creativity, gone forever.

Life is looking a little different these days. It’s wild how much things can change in just a few short months.

My disability was finally approved so your girl is officially (sort of) retired.

That means I get to spend less time worried about creating content and more time with family. And the joy of doing what I love isn’t tainted by how much money it earns.

What a privilege.

I have no idea what the future holds for me. All I can do is hold on to hope and continue to cultivate joy and meaning from my day to day.

A common thread that I keep seeing from people interested in trying is that they don’t know where to start.

And I get it, when you’re talking about an infinitely customizable workspace that is a note-taking, task-tracking, project-managing, website-building platform, it can SEEM really overwhelming.

But I promise you, it’s a lot easier to learn than you think.

And unlike other project-management platforms that come pre-built and bloated with features you will never use, Notion gives you the freedom to create a that works exactly how you want it to.

A system as simple or as complex as you need.

I love Notion.

It’s my second brain. And because it syncs across all my devices, I am never without it.

I use it for literally everything.

For instance, inside my insanely simple studio dashboard I keep my entire business, from editorial calendars and product launch strategies to emails and blogs.

My Notion workspace is as valuable to my business as my network. Which is invaluable.

Oh, did I mention it’s free for personal and individual use?! I mean, come’on.

Today we are celebrating more than just a new year, we’re celebrating our third “cancerversary” or the day we found out I had cancer.

Until now, the idea of celebrating this “milestone” seemed ridiculous. Who wants to celebrate the day you find out you’re dying?

But now that we’re three years into treatment I understand why that’s so important.

It’s because I’m still alive.

I mean, Stage 4 CRC only has a %15 5-year mortality rate and I’m over half the way to beating those odds. (With no end in sight I might add)

So while it may seem silly to celebrate such a sh*tty moment in time, the truth is that this is a pretty big fu***ng deal.

In this photo I was 72 lbs and a month away from an emergency life-saving surgery. Today, I’m at a healthy weight, with more good days than bad and a life that is worth all the damn confetti there is.

Happy Cancerversary to me and here’s to many many more!
