How we choose to view the world makes all the difference in how we respond to life, and greatly influences our ability to find peace when life becomes chaotic. Captured at the Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan on a recent family visit, it's an image that reminds me about the power of perspective... and how sometimes, stepping away for a moment, or stepping back, can impact that perspective.

One of my favorite shots from a children's birthday party I shot for a beautiful family recently. Children don't often keep still for long, but when your able to capture those moments, they can definitely add some magic to the session.

It's hard sometimes to neglect highlighting all the beautiful colors being captured when you choose a black & white. But there's a little something in it... an elegance and magic that deserves to be noticed. (It's also a different edit process, so makes the process unique).
