Life recently has been hectic, and until today, I hadn’t touched my camera in months.

Between family, work, health issues, & the regularly scheduled seasonal mental funk- just haven’t been feeling very creative.

But I’m still here ;
so today I took this.

While going through my old photos & selecting images to share for the photo fundraiser, I came across this shot, which is all-time favorite of mine that I'm pretty sure I'll never get tired of looking at it.

I took this photo at about 5:45am, after I had been up all night tossing and turning with my insomnia. Since we were on vacation, I decided to make the most of a less-than-ideal moment, and walked up to the beach to watch the sunrise… and maybe even try to take a few photos. Much to my surprise, my husband wandered up to the beach to find me WITH COFFEE 😍 and we got to watch the sunrise together!

After a long and frustrating night, the 20 minutes of quiet peace I spent with him on this beach was so very needed & immediately earned a space in my "core memories." To me- moments like that one are what make this thing we call 'life' so beautiful. 💗

*Sadly, the original image was accidentally deleted years ago & I had to save this from my Facebook memories just so I could have a copy to print. Worth it, even if it has to be printed a bit smaller due to image compression!

I don't have a single photo of her where she isn't either 1.) Blocking my view of the babies And/Or 2.) Making a face like this 🤪

For everyone who has asked me where the have gone during the conditions.....

First of all- the moment it DOES rain (however brief) they are out rolling in the puddles to cool down. But also.....in this heat, shade is shade- so, as you'll see, there's always the When asked for comment, Mr. Gator said & "Its too dang hot for all this!"

Between the delicious brews, the food trucks, & the ample shade- we have never left disappointed! If you ever find yourself thirsty in Fort Bend, we highly recommend checking them out!
