Prayer warriors- This is Chyna and I had the privilege of taking her maternity photos over the summer. She gave birth to her sweet baby boy, Lakyn (next slide), just a few weeks ago. Lakyn was born with complex heart problems that required him to go into surgery. They had a scary day following his surgery yesterday and will have a long journey to his recovery with more surgeries in his future. Join me in covering their family in prayers! Oh to be little again! When everything in the world seemed to be more innocent. When any woes could be cured rewinding your favorite vhs and opening a fresh bag of popcorn. When it was Friday evening and your friend was 5 minutes away. When you had to come inside to wash your feet because they were grass stained from playing outside all day. Some days I wish I would’ve appreciated that short period of my life more, but also, thank you Lord that I have those memories! 🤍

Home. It wasn’t always this way. Behind the scenes Jacob and I spent 3.5 years in the absolute trenches with every project we took on. Learning as we went. We started this kitchen 3 months before I was due and spent the summer working day and night to get it finished before he came. Months of demo-ing, drywalling, plumbing, wiring, flooring, designing, assembling cabinets. I finished this stone wall 3 nights before I had Elias. If you can dream it you can make it happen!
