I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve officially joined the Louisiana Board of Directors for Breakthrough T1D Louisiana.
After being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2019, I never could have imagined where that journey would lead. What once felt like a setback ultimately shaped my perspective, challenged me to grow, and helped guide the direction of my life.
At 15, I started building what is today Chase Mazur Photography LLC. And now at 18, just weeks after graduating high school, I’m grateful for the opportunity to combine my passion for business, communication, and advocacy in a way that serves a mission deeply personal to me.
Breakthrough T1D has given me a community, opportunities to grow as an advocate, and the chance to connect with incredible individuals and families across Louisiana. As the youngest member of the board, I’m excited to learn from those around me while contributing a fresh perspective to help advance our mission.
A special thank you to Jill Joffrion as she concludes an incredible 10 years as Executive Director of Breakthrough T1D Louisiana. Jill played a huge role in helping me find my place within this organization, and her encouragement, guidance, and leadership have impacted not only me, but countless families and volunteers across our state. Thank you, Jill, for everything you’ve done for this community!
And thank you to the entire Louisiana Board of Directors for the warm welcome and trust. I’m honored to serve alongside such an incredible group of leaders, advocates, and supporters as we work toward a world without Type 1 Diabetes.
