The photographers child.

Now this is a few years old. But yes, the photographers child during a family session. The child who was familiar with photos multiple times a year.

Some days the emotions are high. Nothing can change that. No amount of bribery or pulling out all the usual tricks. This is what you get.

Stop apologizing to me. I’ll remind you that even the photographers child has had a session where eyes were full of tears. We look back on this session as a family and laugh now.

Is it frustrating? Sure is in the moment! But sometimes there is simply no fix for the big emotions their little bodies are feeling. We do our best. Capture what we can. And let this be a story to giggle about years down the road.

This happens. Even to the photographers child.

A public apology plus a little PLEASE don’t feel like you’re bothering.

It is peak busy season. (I actually feel like this year it’s been busy season the last 10 months) with that being said, every single day is typically at least one session. Sometimes multiples. Along with multiple inquiries or questions about upcoming sessions hitting my inbox. I receive emails, Facebook messages to my personal account + business account, texts, Instagram messages and even Snapchats! I do my absolute best to try to leave messages unopened until I know I can respond but sometimes things get accidentally opened and then missed unfortunately. If I hit you with a “I’ll get back to you on this” and then don’t - it is completely unintentional.

This is a ME problem. And I’m trying so hard to find a good solution. But until then, PLEASE double message if you haven’t heard back from me. I am not offended in anyway but that pushes you back to the unread and reveals possibly missed messages!

I generally respond within 24 hours. Busy wedding weekends, sometimes it’s the next business day.

I greatly appreciate the understanding and the grace you all give me. I’m grateful for this job but it really is a 24/7 commitment. Along with mother and wife duties.

Fall books are FULL. I have no fall dates available at this time and booking for December ONLY. I have not yet opened my 2027 calendar.

Kelsey was amazing to work with for our wedding! She even included a complimentary engagement session, which was such a great bonus and helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.
