Want in on my tea??? 🫖

My secret to capturing these unscripted, fun images even during an extended family session? It’s simpler than you might think!

OK, lean in, here’s the tea.

I always OVER prep my clients. I let them know that kids SHOULD BE kids during my sessions. Let them run free, let them explore. If they are nervous and just want to snuggle, Let THEM.

During this session, I remember both moms talking about how comforted they felt reading my Family Welcome guide knowing that their families would be welcomed no matter how their kids behaved and perhaps I even wanted their kiddos to misbehave.

Here’s why this tip is a game changer: It takes all the stress out of the session for the parents AND for the kiddos. You can allow true genuine moments that aren’t forced, aren’t full of stress. And the best part, it creates a fun and positive memory on top of gorgeous & joyful images!

There are very few pictures of YOU and your family. Sure, maybe a few selfies. 🤳

Maybe a few of the kids with you in the background making a terrible face (yup, I feel you there, I had to yell at my hubs for sending one of those out to the family on Christmas).
