It wasn’t the calmest day out there, but these sharks (as always) put up a show. But for as much as I loved the animals, most of all im impressed with the people that joined me on this adventure. Expeditions are different than your normal 1-2 hour tour. We stay out on the ocean long hours, sometimes just waiting for something to show up, in conditions not always perfect, doing something completely new for the sometimes. Sometimes even a little seasick. And they still showed up, got in, and THRIVED.

These are some of my favorite shots of on our Azores photo expedition. On top of diving with me every day she got extra credits doing her freedive class after we were done with our day 🙌🏼🙌🏼 watching the progress was incredible.

The ocean really showed up for us last season and I can’t wait to go back with all my energy this summer (aka not pregnant). Last year I was often too heavy and too slow to dive down, swim fast, and sometimes even just float took effort. But I got to take photos and drone footage of the incredible moments that happened to the people there with me.

These are some of my favorite of so much more than what I hoped for!

I missed a lot of posts while living life and surviving the new routine. Who knew trying to get someone to sleep would be so sleepless!

Last year I left Hawaii for good and moved to California swapping a life in the pacific ocean for desert trips, critters and trips to the Atlantic Ocean.

At the end of the year Roman joined the adventure and it has been a wild ride since.

Now we leave California for South Carolina. Closer to family. Closer to all the creatures in the Atlantic Ocean.

In the works: a long road trip, a trip to Italy and then back to the Azores! Maybe a lot of camping 🥰 I can’t wait to see you there.

What an adventure this has been.

There was so much I didn’t know when I started this pregnancy journey. Down to how to fit my growing belly in the wetsuit. And yes, by the end I was happy to keep my movement to normal workouts at the gym, and sit in a chair and learning how to operate a drone. But growing a baby doesn’t mean you are destined to give up everything you love. You just get to do it all a little slower with your little one experiencing it with you, front row seat.

Obsessed with gold

This year’s photo safari in the Azores comes to an end and I couldn’t be more in love with the sharks we got to see again. Blue sharks’ attitudes and their colors make them one of my favorite sharks to work with as a photographer and I’m already counting down the days until I see them again next year!
