Every decision in this photo was intentional—the background, the camera, the lighting, the film stock.This recreation is inspired by the work of Arno Rafael Minkkinen. I’m currently working on a long-term project where I recreate iconic photographs from some of the greatest artists in photography—because the best way to grow is to learn from the masters.My wife is the subject, and yes—she’s a beautiful model. But this isn’t just about beauty. It’s about creating art without shortcuts.I shot this on 35mm. I developed it, scanned it, edited it—and now I’m posting it.Eventually, I’ll print it too. Beginning to end. Next up: a recreation inspired by Francesca Woodman—an artist who died too young, but left behind something unforgettable.
