It’s not about me, it’s about YOU. YOU being a blessing, the stepping stone, that helping hand, that encouraging person that helps others out of the trenches of life. Be the hands and feet of Jesus. “It ain’t how you start, it’s how you finish” lyrics from this song by reminds me that all that matters is how we finish life, not with worldly accolades or materialism but what we did with what God gave us to help others. I saw this homeless guy and couldn’t help but pull over and not only give him food, money but encouraging words, God’s Word particularly. Stayed and talked to him, found out his name (Raymond) where’s he from (Pennsylvania) and how I can be praying for him (work). One person at a time, for the Kingdom and His glory, not mine 🙌🏼

Staying in Spiritual Shape

When Paul wrote 1 Timothy 4:8, he acknowledged something we all probably know at heart—physical health matters.

In Paul’s time, athletic training was a sign of discipline and strength. Today, we also recognize how sleep, nutrition, and exercise impact our well-being. Taking care of our bodies is important because they are a gift from God.

But Paul reminds us that while physical training has value, it’s not enough on its own. We need something more—something deeper that sustains us beyond the ups and downs of life. That something is godliness.

Godliness isn’t just about avoiding bad habits. It’s about shaping our lives around God’s presence and purpose. Just as physical training strengthens our bodies, spiritual training—through prayer, Scripture, and obedience—strengthens our souls.

When we seek Him first, we discover that godliness doesn’t just prepare us for eternity, it also transforms how we live right now. A healthy life—mentally, physically, and spiritually—starts with seeking Him first.

Remember this life in the flesh is only temporary and nothing will come with us except what we do for others, giving God all the Glory. You can always make more money but not more time. Spend it wisely because tomorrow isnt guaranteed. The older I get, the more I’m focusing on this and the less I care about social media, the news, peoples opinions, etc.. Stay in tune with the Creator, His Word, His Son and loving on others. The “Heavenly Crowns” as the Bible calls them will be the only thing that matters when your soul departs from your body. The rest is vanity. “Heavenly crowns” symbolize the rewards that believers receive in heaven for their faithfulness and service to God. These crowns are not literal, but rather figurative representations of the honor and glory bestowed by God. The New Testament mentions several different crowns, including the Crown of Life, the Crown of Righteousness, the Crown of Glory, the Crown of Rejoicing, and the Incorruptible Crown 🙌🏼
