So special being able to capture this day for these two. I had the chance to photograph their engagement session before and so being there again for their wedding made it even more meaningful.

Their wedding ceremony was held at Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden… here on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. It was simple, beautiful, and full of love. This is why I love what I do - capturing Hawaii weddings.

I’m Eddy Nova, yes it’s my real name. Cool right? I’m a wedding photographer and videographer based here in Hawai‘i. I document love in a way that feels effortless, genuine, and true to the couple in front of me. To me, weddings aren’t just events — they’re stories filled with subtle moments, inside jokes, nervous laughter, and the kind of emotion you don’t get to repeat twice.

My approach is pretty simple: keep things relaxed, authentic, and intentional. I’ve learned that the most meaningful images aren’t the ones where everything is perfectly posed, timed, or planned. They’re the laughs right before, the hugs right after, the quiet in-between moments you didn’t even realize were happening. That’s the good stuff and that’s where the real story is.

Every couple is different, and that’s what keeps this work exciting. Whether I’m shooting a small elopement on O‘ahu, a destination wedding across the islands, or something spontaneous at sunset, I’m here for the moments that feel like you and not a Pinterest checklist.

Ashlei and I both teach at ʻAiea High School, so capturing her wedding day was truly special. From the beautiful ceremony at Kapolei Golf Club to the lively celebration at the Hawaii Okinawa Center, the day was filled with genuine emotion, love, and joy.

From our very first phone call, I knew Mei & Pei were going to be a dream to work with. Not only did they plan a destination wedding here in Hawaii — they’re also from New York, where I grew up, which made this celebration feel extra special. 🥹✨

Their Oahu wedding was filled with meaning from start to finish — a beautiful tea ceremony, a heartfelt ceremony, and the moment that stole everyone’s hearts: Mei’s grand entrance while Pei played a song for her on the clarinet. Their first dance was pure magic. 🎶💍
