They traded aisles for a cliffside, crowds for an experience—saying I do just after sunrise, high above the Oahu coastline, the ocean stretching endlessly below.

No audience.

Just movement, wind, birds, adrenaline, and a first dance shared on the side of a mountain.

True story: I photographed Aspen’s brother’s wedding to the beautiful Kelsey 10 years ago and Aspen said then one day when she got married, I’d be her wedding photographer! 10 years later on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica… I was! ♥️🤗🥰🥰🥰

MANZANILLO, Costa Rica 🇨🇷
The entire village is located within the Gandoca Wildlife Refuge and and surrounded by humid tropical forest with howler monkeys and incredible wildlife. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the locals and adherence to national legislation, the wildlife sanctuary safeguards incredible white sand beaches, incredible coral reefs, nesting leatherback turtles, two and three toed sloths, various species of monkeys including howlers, capuchin, and spider, toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, ocelots, manatees, dolphins, iguanas, boas AND MORE.

It’s INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend

Find you someone who makes you laugh until your stomach hurts!

How about this adorable little guy?! 🦥

We stumbled upon this adorable guy during our adventure session through Gandoca.

🦥 This little guy is actually a two-toed sloth as you can see from his front limbs and his super adorbs face! 😍

🦥 Giant sloths have been around since the ice age and were known as Megatheriums. (they lived on the ground then!)

🦥 Sloths are related to armadillos and anteaters!

🦥 Two-toed sloths do almost everything hanging upside down! Eating, sleeping, mating, giving birth.

🦥 Sloths are dependent on trees. Deforestation has led sloths to seek alternative methods to move across the canopy. This sometimes leads them to electrical lines and because sloth have hands and feet that essentially lock into place, once they grab a hold of an electrical line they aren’t able to quickly release when shocked. This can lead to substantial damage. The folks at Jaguar Rescue Center in Manzanillo are busy fighting the good fight to help protect these cute little guys. want to learn more? Part of what made this trip so incredible is Andy is from this area. When we explored the Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge it was essentially Andy’s backyard as his childhood home is right on the edge of the wildlife refuge.
