💪Overcoming Leprosy 🌈🏥
Daniel Peters’ grandpa, Saku, had a life altering turn when he was diagnosed with leprosy and taken away from his wife and 2 young daughters to live in the hospital alone for 4 whole years! 💔 But from the depths of despair, a glimmer of hope emerged with the discovery of the leprosy vaccine, granting him a second chance at life! 🌟🙏

This long, unforeseen battle resulted in losing his family. With a heart full of longing, Saku embarked on a search that spanned a lifetime. At 60 years old, he finally reunited with his long-lost daughters after more than four decades of separation. 💖👨‍👧‍👧

💛Lahaina, Maui Childhood Memories💛🌈
Just two weeks ago, we sat down with Nalani for an interview sharing about her family from Lahaina, Maui, one of the cities currently battling the wildfires across Hawaii.

Our hearts now ache as we listen back on the fond memories of her dad’s childhood in Lahaina and the handmade oven her grandfather built brick by brick, knowing that it turned to ash 2 days ago. Despite the physical devastation, this family clings to the fond memories and legacy they will share with their generations to come of the beautiful childhood Grandpa Peters had in beloved Maui.
