OKAY PICTURE THIS 🥹

It’s 1945, WWII just ended, the boys are finally coming back from fighting the war in the Pacific! They have been gone longer than you thought, you’ve only communicated a little bit via letter but now you get to finally hug/see/kiss your loved one 😩

That’s what these photos make me feel like - especially here in Hawai’i at Pearl Harbor! 🥹 There is so much history and legacy here of the men & women who have sacrificed so much for this country.

I will also sharing these photos in color (since its 2026 and not 1945 + all the red, white, and blue is so patriotic😍)

But for right now - i just want to sit with the emotions + story told through these b+w photos and how so many people have walked through this same base, waiting for their loved ones to return, cried so many tears and shared so many smiles when they have finally come back home 🤍

Meredith wanted “soft, lovey dovey, beachy, cutie patooties in love type vibe” and I think we accomplished that 🥹

How did we achieve this?
1. Meredith + Edwin were themselves! They laughed, ran around, had a lot of movement and just enjoyed each other’s company.
2. They trusted me with the location, timing, direction during the session, ideas of poses that lead to candid, in-between moments, and to capture each of them at the best angles! & they were done to try all the crazy things I suggested haha!
3. We talked, asked questions, I knew about their relationships ahead of time. This personal element is KEY to a great photo experience!

It’s so much more than just the photos - very thankful the people trust me with their love stories and to create photos that truly showcase their relationship 🤍

I’ll never be over Hope + Mitch’s elopement photos on Maui 🥹

I think what continues to draw me back to these images is their love for each other. They were so easy to capture because they both were so open with their emotions and just genuinely love being around each other 🤍

Family photos aren’t just reserved for when the kids are really little! What about as they grow up? As they get taller than you? As they transition from elementary to middle school or middle school to high school?! In 20 years you’re going to want those memories just as much as when they were a baby 🥹🤍

Also! You can have more fun haha! Run around, race, make the pyramid, make the silly faces, add in your friends who really aren’t even friends- they are family as well 🤍

“Hey mom - can I see the photos of you + dad at the beach again?”

Photos last forever, they can be passed down, they can be enjoyed over and over, and can tell your story long after you’re gone.

Don’t skip over the photos, it’s the only way we have the ability to stop time and preserve a moment that you won’t ever get back or experience again 🤍

IM MOVING 🥹

At the end of the year, I’ll be closing the chapter of living on O’ahu and what a sweet adventure it has been :,)

Moving to Hawaii in 2022, being a full time teacher + doing photography on the side - I can’t believe all that has happened over the last 4+ years here. I’ve been able to grow with Jesus, make some of my best friends, and go full time with my photography! A dream turned into a reality 🤍

For my Hawai’i clients: I’ll be here through the last few months of 2026 so if you’ve been on the fence about booking a session with me, now is your chance! Availability for October + November + Early December

And now you might be thinking? “Where is she moving to?” 👀

I’ll be heading back to Texas for the holidays + then off to TENNESSEE 🤠

So for dates:
HAWAII: October + November + Early December
TEXAS: Mid December + January
TENNESSEE: Spring 2027

Thank you so much for everything - for supporting, encouraging, and growing with me! I couldn’t have done this without y’all + Jesus! I can’t wait for the next adventure 🥹🤍

Sundays off 🤍

We subscribe to the “chick fil a” method over here at Hallie | Hawaii Photographer with being closed on Sundays!

A day to recharge, relax, do fun things, and spend time with the people I love! In a world that is go, go, go - I love to find times to slow down!

And above all of that, it allows me to spend time with the Lord! Church in the morning (or evening sometimes) and to always make sure he always comes first before everything else 🥹

So no shoots, edits, emails, socials, etc on Sundays, but we are here Monday - Saturday 💕
