“Skywalker” says “peace brah!”

In lieu of waiting a few weeks to repair a minor gimbal issue due to plastic deterioration from the corrosive Hawaiian salt-air, I decided to replace my old pal “Phoenix” with a new Jedi drone for a very modest fee!

Thanks Phoenix, you were a great drone who paid for yourself 10x over!

I had this idea to take a photo of my drone (Phoenix) taking a photo of the park with Diamond Head beyond. I had set it in position, then sent another drone (Shadowfax) up to take the photo. So nice for a rainbow to make an appearance!

Some drone footage of mine for a TV/web commercial at the very beginning... the birds were a fortunate addition to the shot; but made me nervous as those green parakeets always harass my drone, sometimes even bumping it! It worked out well this time!

Be there when that moment happens!
The past month has been a challenging one for my house photoshoots. Those sexy sunrise and sunset skies just haven’t been happening on the windward side of the island due to constant cloud coverage and rain--but sometimes, perseverance pays off. I was out at sunrise shooting this house, feeling bummed from the clouds, but then there was a moment for 30-45 seconds when this “one” cloud illuminates… That was the moment I needed. The second shot was at sunset with most of the clouds cleared away; which isn’t desired much either. But also, there’s always “that” moment.
