One of my favorite things about photography isn't just creating beautiful images... it's getting to walk through life with people.

I've had the privilege of photographing this sweet family for almost my entire photography journey. I've watched them celebrate milestones, welcome new seasons, and seen their sweet family grow. So when they asked me to preserve another chapter of their story, I could not say no, and I could not have been more honored. 💕

This time, family and dear friends traveled from near and far to gather aboard the USS Missouri for a very special occasion... a well-earned Army promotion. 🎖

There were speeches honoring years of faithful service. Proud smiles. Leis lovingly placed around shoulders. Hugs that lasted just a little longer. Friends who traveled across the country to celebrate. And one moment that especially made me smile was seeing their son—just weeks away from becoming an Eagle Scout—standing proudly beside his dad in his own uniform. There was something especially meaningful about seeing two generations, each serving in their own way, sharing such an important milestone together. 🇺🇸

Congratulations, my sweet friends. Watching your family grow over the years has been one of the unexpected blessings of this journey, and I'm so thankful you continue to trust me to preserve these memories. It truly is an honor.

If you could relive one sunrise with the people you love most, which memory would you choose? 🤍

There is something incredibly special about watching three generations together. 🥰

As this sweet family prepared to say goodbye to Hawaiʻi and begin a new chapter, they chose to spend one last sunrise together on the beach. Having Grandma and Grandpa there to share in those memories made the morning even more special.

As the first light of morning filled the sky with breathtaking colors, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful start to our time together. 🌺

It was such a joy spending the morning with them all. Seeing the laughter, the hugs, and the simple joy of everyone just being together was beautiful.

‘Ohana Cosens, thank you for allowing me the privilege of capturing these moments for your family. You are all very missed, but I pray these photographs will be a blessing for years to come, always reminding you of this unforgettable Hawaiian sunrise and the sweet memories you made that morning. 🤍

Sometimes the most meaningful sessions begin with a simple question...

"Is it weird to book a photo session just for me?"

My answer? Absolutely not. 🤍

When Caroline first reached out, she shared that she'd never had professional photos taken of herself and wasn't quite sure if it was okay to book a session "just because". I was so excited to tell her yes. 🥰

What followed was one of my favorite sessions to date. 😍😍

We spent the morning exploring two beautiful locations, creating four completely different looks, laughing our way through the adventure, and simply enjoying the creative process together. By the end of the session, it felt less like a photo shoot and more like spending the morning with a friend. 💕

The greatest part of the day wasn't the gorgeous scenery or the perfect light—it was getting to know her. She has such a genuine, kind, and joyful spirit, and it was a privilege to spend the morning together.

And these images... I honestly don't even have the words. This gallery is everything I hoped it would be—and somehow even more. It's quickly become one of my all-time favorites, and I'm so excited to finally share it.

Thank you for trusting me with this experience. It was such a joy to celebrate this season of your life, and I hope these photographs always remind you of just how beautifully God has created you. 🤍✨

What a joy it was to spend the evening with this wonderful family as they came for another visit to Hawaiʻi. 💕

The last time we met, we chased the sunrise. This time, we chased the sunset. 🌅

Three generations, endless laughter, golden light spilling through the mountains, and a beach that couldn't have been more beautiful. It was one of those evenings where everything simply came together.

One of the sweetest moments of the evening was seeing a cherished photo of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather included in a few portraits. Though he couldn't be there in person, his memory was lovingly woven into this family's time together—a quiet reminder that love continues long after someone is gone.

Moments like these are why I love what I do. Thank you for allowing me to preserve another chapter of your family's journey. 🤍
