They move different. They carry themselves different. Their styles, their energy, even the way they hold space is not the same—and that’s exactly what makes this work.

What stood out to me wasn’t similarity. It was the tension, the contrast, and the quiet chemistry that exists between them without needing to be explained. You can feel it in the space between their bodies. Two completely different presences creating one visual conversation.

I’m grateful they trusted me enough to step into this with me, and I’m already looking forward to working with them again and continuing to see where this collaboration can go.

Love the ten days and my family, but now I need to buckle down and get this semester rocking on the island.

This growing one growing on me. I wanted to create Tulsa, OK May 30, 1921, ones at before The Tulsa Race Massacre. I wanted to ask the questions: How was their day? Was it anything different in the air from other days? Was the residents in the Greenwood District happy or was it a sadness that overpowered them without them kmowing what's coming? I hope I capture the time and era. Title TBD.

“My Freedom Is Not For Sale (If These Walls Could Talk)”
Mixed Media on Canvas

The red, white, and blue represent America — a country that taught freedom with one hand and took it with the other. The torn Bible pages speak to the faith forced on my ancestors, while the burn marks and layered gloss reveal both our bruising and our healing. Ghostlike figures of former slaves rise through the surface, bound by gold threads — unity forged in struggle. Some escaped. Some stayed. All endured.

Freedom isn’t a transaction. It’s inheritance.
It’s memory.
It’s not for sale.

“Mrs Pauline Attends The Funeral For Fred Rogers.”When Mrs. Pauline saw this moment on TV in 1969, she thought life would be like that—simple, kind, and equal. Mr. Rogers and Officer Clemmons cooling their feet in the same pool looked like a promise that the world was changing. But as she grew older, she learned that promise was fragile, often broken. This piece mourns that loss—the funeral of a dream we were told as children, one that didn’t survive adulthood.”
